Libby FAQs
What is my password?
It’s the same one you use for our library catalog. If you’ve forgotten it, we can help you reset it.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes, to browse and download. After downloading, you can read or listen offline.
How long can I borrow titles?
You can choose a 7, 14, or 21-day loan period when borrowing.
What happens when a title expires?
It returns automatically—no late fees!
Can I renew a book?
Yes! If no one is waiting, you can renew two days before it’s due. Tap the cover, then tap Renew Loan.
What if I don’t finish a book?
Libby remembers your place. Just borrow it again to pick up where you left off.
Can I borrow from other library networks?
Yes! Tap Add A Library and choose another Massachusetts network. Log in with your CW MARS card—your titles will stay in one place.
Can I control when books download?
Yes! Go to Download Settings to manage whether items download automatically or only on WiFi.
