Seed Library

The Haston Free Public Library's Seed Library is a community-driven initiative aimed at promoting sustainable gardening, preserving plant biodiversity, and fostering a culture of sharing. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, our Seed Library offers a variety of seeds to help you cultivate your own garden.

How It Works

  1. Visit the Library: Stop by the Haston Free Public Library during our operating hours.

  2. Browse the Collection: Explore our selection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds.

  3. Select Your Seeds: Choose up to 10 seed varieties per visit to ensure fair distribution.

  4. Record Your Selection: Fill out the Seed Library checkout form and bring it to the circulation desk. A staff member will package your seeds for you.

  5. Plant and Enjoy: Take your seeds home, plant them, and watch your garden flourish!

Note: While returning seeds is not mandatory, we encourage experienced gardeners to save seeds from their harvest and donate them back to the library to support community sustainability.
